A man and his wife allegedly hanged themselves after poisoning their children in their home, said police. The tragic incident was reported near Neelbad area under Ratibad Police Station jurisdiction. The 38-year-old man, Bhupendra Vishwakarma, in a suicide note indicated that he was victim of a cyber fraud and he was under debt. The man and his 30-year-old wife, Ritu were found hanging in a room while bodies of their sons Rituraj (8) and Rishiraj (4) were found in the other room. Vishwakarma had clicked a selfie with his family before taking the extreme step. He sent that selfie to a relative and wrote a message that it was their last image. Earlier, the police received a call on Thursday morning about the family’s suicide. A team reached the scene and brought bodies down. The bodies were sent for post-mortem and senior police officials reached the spot.
 
Sources said that the couple offered soft drink laced with poison to the children and they waited for their deaths and later they hanged them together. Police said that the man was working with some online company based outside India and was a victim of online loan app. In the suicide note he has mentioned that the company was now blackmailing him after accessing his contacts through hacking his mobile. Vishwakarma accused the company of sending obscene content to all his contacts to blackmail him, said his relatives. Police said that he had sent a message to his niece Rinki Vishwakarma early Thursday about their suicide. She read the message in morning and alerted her family members. However, they were all dead before any relative reached them. The suicide note was seized by the police and a special investigation team (SIT) was formed. The SIT includes Additional DCP Zone 1 Shahank, ACP TT Nagar Chandrashekhar Pandey, SHO of Ratibad and cops from Cyber Cell. Hs relatives claimed that the accused had sent such content to is relatives that he was feeling embarrassed.
 
Police Commissioner Harinarayan Chari Mishra said that the SIT investigation has been ordered into the incident.
He wrote that he was on verge of losing his job and there was no future for him. In the suicide note, he wrote that the company engaged him in job after offering him loan. The loan rose to an extent that he was unable to bear the burden. On the other hand the company was blackmailing him to repay the amount and later they shared his obscene images and other stuff with his family members. The man also wrote that his family is innocent and he fell into the trap. He has apologised to the family members in the suicide note.
