On the fifth day of indefinite strike, Vice Chancellor of Nanaji Deshmukh Veterinary Science University Dr Sita Prasad Tiwari spoke to students of Fishery College, on Friday. After writing a letter in blood to the Chief Minister, on the fifth day of the indefinite strike, the Vice-Chancellor of NDVSU came to hear the problems of the students and assured that on behalf of the University, he asked to talk to the Director and Principal Secretary of the Fisheries Department.
  
For this, a representative team of students presented their side to the Vice-Chancellor with all the documents and a committee was formed by the university, after which students said that the assurance has been received many times, but this time until all the demands are met till then their struggle will continue. Students and former students, including Ram Kumar Kurmi, Akhand Pratap, Sudhanshu, Nikisha, Ranjit Patel, Aditi Bajpai were prominently present.
 
Fishery students are staging strike to press their demands including recruitment of Fisheries Inspector and Assistant Fisheries, officer in the department only B.F.Sc should be the minimum eligibility criteria, recruitment for the posts of Additional Director should be held, by MPPSC and minimum eligibility criteria should be only B.F.Sc & MFSc, quota for recruitment of Fisheries Inspector and Assistant Fisheries Officer in the department should again be revised to 50pc, questions asked in exams of Department of Fisheries and Fisheries Federation should be asked from the syllabus of B.F.Sc.
