CombineD team of Crime Branch and Gorakhpur police nabbed two accused involved in illegal trade of poisonous injections and seized 62 injections and cash of Rs 1350 from them. The accused have been identified as Surendra Soni (42), native of Narmada Nagar, Gwarighat and currently lived at Jogi Mohalla, Ramnagar in Gorakhpur and Rahul alias Girish Vinodia (35), resident of near Maharshi School. SHO of Gorakhpur police station, Arvind Choube informed that during the Operation Shikanja, Crime Branch received information about two suspects who were sight at railway ground near Chhoti Line Fatak with objectionable substances. Taking prompt action on the information, combine team of Crime Branch and Gorakhpur police started a search and trapped the two suspects who named themselves as Surendra Soni and Rahul alias Girish Vinodia. In their search, police seized total 62 numbers of poisonous injections, 32 syringe and cash of Rs 1350 from them.
Gorakhpur police have registered separate cases against the accused under Section 5/13 of Drug Control Act while further investigations are underway to identify the source of receiving the prohibited injections. The accused were apprehended with active working of police team comprised of ASI, Israr Khan, Shiv Kumar Vishwakarma, Crime Branch’s ASI, Prashant Solanki, ASI, Ajay Pandey, Head Constables, Balram Pandey, Atul Garg others.
