A number of senior leaders and workers of Bharatiya Janata Party paid floral tributes to the brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country on Kargil Vijay Diwas. Speaking on the occasion, City President, Prabhat Sahu said our Army always remains dedicated to the service of the nation and soldiers fight for the safeguard of the motherland. It is on the strength of their bravery and sacrifice that we are able to breathe freely in our homes and it was their valor that helped us achieve victory in Kargil, said Sahu.

 

The City President of BJP further said that the bravery of Kargil Vijay is historical and entire country pays homage to the soldiers who lost their lives. He said that the army and our soldiers, who leave their families behind to defend the nation are respected by every citizen. The soldiers consider the country as their family and are always ready to face the enemy in any situation so that our country remains safe.

 

Expressing views on the occasion, MLA Ashok Rohani said our soldiers worked hard and defeated the enemy in

Kargil War. We pay tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their life in the war at Captain Vikram Batra Memorial, which is named after the great hero of the Kargil war. He said Captain Vikram Batra introduced unprecedented bravery in the Kargil war, sacrificing his life and was honored with India’s highest gallantry award, the Param Vir Chakra. Rohani said the name of such brave soldiers is immortalized in history and the entire country feels proud on hearing their names, because heroes like Vikram Batra always raise the glory of the country and soldiers.
