WITH the installation of hammer and discus throw cage, almost all of the works at synthetic athletics track at Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), Ravi Nagar, are completed and the venue with 8-lane track is ready to host events. In the final phase, that started with lane marking, the works related to steeplechase pit, a shot-put ring, steeplechase water barrier, pole vault boxes and take off boards, are over. Specialised workers from Malaysia carried out the markings giving the a new look to the track for which RTMNU had a budgetary allocation of around Rs 10 crore. The work has being carried out by Public Works Department (PWD).
