An important meeting of Administrative Committee of Madhya Pradesh State Bar Council (MPSBC) was organised to discuss strategy for giving impetus to on-going drive against fake advocates in various courts of Madhya Pradesh.
During the meeting, senior office-bearers of the Committee including Radhelal Gupta, R K Singh Saini, Jagannath Tripathi, Rajesh Pandey and Jitendra Sharma said the Supreme Court has ordered strict action against fake lawyers and directed the Bar Council of India to take necessary steps in the matter. Accordingly, the MPSBC has also directed for investigation into all the documents of the lawyers. They said as per the information received, Bar Council of India has taken strict action against fake lawyers and those who have not renewed their licenses. Many lawyers who were practicing law were found to be fake after an investigation. The Supreme Court has directed the Bar Council of India to take strict action and has issued guidelines for such cases.

R K Singh Saini, Vice Chairman of the MPSBC and President of District Bar Association said fake lawyers are being caught and after receiving complaints, the educational documents of two lawyers were investigated at Dibrugarh University in Assam and Bhopal. It was found that the documents submitted at the time of registration in the Madhya Pradesh State Bar Council were fake, so notices have been issued to these lawyers to explain why action should not be taken against them. Saini further said that according to the Bar Council of India’s guidelines, the educational documents of all lawyers are being investigated and action will be taken against those found to be fake.
