Coal India Ltd’s (CIL) newly-appointed Chairman and Managing Director P M Prasad recently paid a visit to its city- based subsidiary - Western Coalfield Limited (WCL). On the occasion, he held a review meeting at the WCL Headquarters at Civil Lines. During the meeting he appreciated the working and performance of WCL. Prasad also directed all the area general managers and heads of the departments of WCL to complete all the tasks in a time bound manner.

CMD of WCL Manoj Kumar gave a detailed report of achievements of the company during the year 2022-23. Dr Sanjay Kumar, Director (Personnel); J P Dwivedi, Director (Technical), A K Singh, Director (Technical); Ajay Mehtre, Chief Vigilance Officer; and M K Singh, CIL’s Executive Director and Chairman’s Technical Secretary, were present on the occasion.
