President of India Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Nagpur on Tuesday evening for a three-day visit. The City police have meticulously planned a robust security arrangement to ensure the safety and smooth proceedings during the President’s stay in city. A contingent of approximately 750 officers and policemen will form a protective cordon around the Raj Bhavan in the Seminary Hills area during the President’s stay. Additionally, around 3,500 officers and policemen will be deployed at various locations throughout the city, said Commissioner of Police (CP) Amitesh Kumar on Monday.
 
The CP said that the police conducted an exercise for the convoys from Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport to Raj Bhavan on Monday afternoon. Five Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCPs), 16 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 15 special squads of Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), and two companies of the State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) have been deployed from other districts to bolster security measures. Furthermore, additional police personnel have been reserved at the Police Headquarters and the Police Control Room, he added.
 
The CP claimed that there would be no road traffic blockades during the President’s visit. Traffic will only be momentarily halted for approximately five to seven minutes when the President’s fleet departs for movement. Murmu to interact with tribals on 6th On July 6, the President will interact with members of the tribal community at Raj Bhavan. President Droupadi Murmu will depart for Mumbai the same day. Governor Ramesh Bais is scheduled to arrive in the city on Tuesday at 3.15 pm. He will be participating in various programmes along with the President.
Similarly, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde will arrive here on Tuesday at 6.15 pm. He will be present at the airport to welcome President Droupadi Murmu.
