The National Education Policy 2020 is a befitting reply to Macaulay’s education policy. The implementation of NEP in line with all the dimensions of Indian Knowledge System (IKS) will make Bharat vishwguru, said B R Shankarananda, National Organising Secretary of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal. He was speaking at Guru Purnima function organised by Shri Ramdeobaba College of Engineering and Management, Nagpur (RCOEM). Principal Dr R S Pande and Sthapatya Veda Coordinator Arch. Abhishek Deshpande were present on the dais.
Dr Rajesh Pande in his welcome speech highlighted the efforts of RCOEM in incorporating ethos of IKS in the curriculum. Open electives like Sanskrit for technocrats, Bhagwadgeeta Science of life and Indian Knowledge system were already been started few years back at RCOEM, Dr Pande added. Arch. Abhishek Deshpande introduced the chief guest to the audience. Dr Nitesh Singh, Organizing Secretary, Vidarbha Unit of Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, Deans’, Head of Departments, faculty members and students were present in large number. Dr Pratishruti Singh Agrawal conducted the proceedings while Dr Bhalchandra Hardas, IPR and Sanskrit Centre coordinator RCOEM proposed vote of thanks.
