Vidarbha all-rounder Dubey among India A standbys

 

 

 

VIDARBHA’S talented all-rounder Harsh Dubey has been named as one of the four standbys in India A team for the Emerging Asia Cup One-Day tournament to be held in Sri Lanka from July 13 to 23. The team comprised primarily U-23 players as requisite for the Emerging tournaments.

 

The southpaw, who also made his First-Class debut for Vidarbha last season, missed the bus by a whisker and was the first player to be named in the standby list. Dubey, who finished as the highest wicket-taker in the U-25 Col CK Nayudu Trophy where Vidarbha played final against Mumbai last season was also selected for the Under-23 camp conducted by the National Cricket Academy. Last season, Dubey also turned out for Mylapore Recreation Club, led by India great Ravichandran Ashwin, in the 1st Division Raja Of Palayampatti Shield Cricket Tournament organised by The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
