NFC Kamptee clinched the Under-12 futsal title during the Dr Panjabrao Deshmukh Futsal Championship organised by Department of Physical Education and Sports, Dhanwate National College, the other day. In the final, NFC Kamptee defeated Sportians Football Academy 3-2 in an exciting encounter. For the winners, Nehal (13th min), Zainul Abedin (24th) and Mohd Nashit (28th) scored the goals while for Sportians, Mruda Tidke (5th, 22nd) reduced the margin.

 

Dr Sanjay Thakre, Joint Director, Higher Education was the chief guest of the prize distribution function. The winners received Rs 3000 and a trophy while the runners-up got Rs 2000 and trophy. Both the teams were also rewarded with medals. Individual awards like best goalkeeper (Mohd Kaif), man of the series (Aryan Tamboli), man of the match (Zainul Abedin) were also given. Dr Devendra Wankhade conducted the programme while Prof Jayant Jichkar proposed a vote of thanks.
