IT WAS back to back quarter-finals in two weeks for Nagpur shuttler Aditya Yaul in Yonex Sunrise All India Sub-Junior (U-13) National Ranking Badminton Tournament 2023 in progress at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. After qualifying for the main draw, Aditya defeated Jaivardhan Hooda from Haryana 21-8, 21-15 in the first round. Then he shocked 10th seed Edward Adrian 19-21, 22-20, 21-12. Aditya was trailing 6-11 in the second game but after the interval, Aditya charged on Edward and finished the game 22-20. In decider, Aditya didn’t allow Edward to come back in the match.

 

In pre-quarters Aditya beat 8th seed Aryan Bhat from Uttar Pradesh 21-15, 21-19. Aditya will be playing his quarter-final against Harsha Vardhan Balaga Lakshmi from Andhra Pradesh. Aditya is 6th Standard student of Bhavan’s School, Koradi Road and practices under the guidance of Amit Raut, Mohan Wahare and Vivek Nagrare in Divisional Sports Complex, Mankapur.
