Sanjeev Kumar Bhola took over the charge as Chief General Manager of Vehicle Factory Jabalpur, on Monday. He has been appointed by Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited. It is notable that VFJ, General Manager, Ashok Gupta has been retired on July 31. After his retirement Sanjeev Kumar Bhola will look after the work of Vehicle factory Jabalpur. Sanjeev Kumar Bhola was earlier OIC at Heavy Vehicle Factory Avadi, Chennai and has come to Vehicle Factory Jabalpur after being transferred and promoted. He has joined the Indian Ordnance Factory Services in April 1992 as group ‘A’ officer. From 1993 to 2007 he has given services in Gun Carriage Factory, Jabalpur. During his long tenure he has also served in Ordnance Factory Kanpur, Ordnance Factory Chanda and also remained on deputation as Director in Ministry of Defence for about 07 years.
He has always encouraged Industry Academics. He has written a thesis on ‘Challenges of Indian Defence Industries’ and several research papers has been published. Apart from research and development he has special hobby in painting and cycling. All the officers, employees and office bearers of Union and association of the factory welcomed to Sanjeev Kumar Bhola on his arrival.
He has done B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and M.Phil in Defence Studies and has done Advanced Weapon Technology Course from DIAT, Pune and Defence Management Training from National Defence College, Delhi. Apart from this he has taken training on PPE and IP 3 from USA. He has done important work in research, designing and technology development of Dhanush, Pinaka rocket and Navy Kavach. In erstwhile OFB organisation for which he has been honoured with important award of Ayudh Bhushan.
