State GST teams found huge irregularities and tax evasion in two firms CU Energies Ltd and Apni Bijli. The firms are registered for solar panels and electricity metres but trade of vehicles and other commodities were being carried out through e-billings for tax evasion. State GST, Joint Commissioner, Rajkumar Thakur, while talking to ‘The Hitavada’, informed they received an order from State GST Headquarters, Indore about finding of several irregularities with CU Energies Ltd. Taking prompt action on the order, three State GST teams led by Assistant Commissioner, Vandana Sinha, STO, Satyapati Rawat and Vaishnavi Patel raided CU Energies at Shatabdipuram and its directors include Shivani Shrivastava, Uma Dubey and Shilpa Dubey. During the raids, the teams learnt about Managing Directors of the company named Vishal Dubey and his wife Nandini Dubey.
 
Nandini Dubey is also the proprietor of another firm named Apni Bijli. GST officers learnt that dealings of Apni Bijli firm were also being carried out in the name of CU Energies Ltd for evading State GST. Teams have also found Central GST evasion by both the firms. During scrutiny of documents, teams have found huge irregularities and overall business turnout of CU Energies upto Rs 3.46 crore and Rs 1.86 crore turnout of Apni Bijli firm. Joint Commissioner R K Thakur informed that scrutiny of documents and compilation of figures is underway which is likely to take another couple of days to ascertain overall tax evasion by both the firms.
