The BJP leaders reached Bhopal Crime Branch to lodge an FIR against Congress leaders, including Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, on Saturday. The leaders, including Cabinet Minister Vishwas Sarang and MLA Rameshwar Sharma, along with others handed over their complaint to the police and demanded action against the social media messages of the Congress leaders that they claimed intended to defame the ruling party in the State. The State BJP President, V D Sharma also attacked the opposition in a press conference over the matter of commission.

These leaders reached the Crime Branch and handed over a memorandum to the SHO. BJP District President Sumit Pachauri said that the Congress leaders tweeted delusion information. A letter floated on social media with claim that contractors are forced to give 50 per cent commission and the contractors association had written the letter to the Chief Justice of High Court for action in this regard, he said. However, no such letter was written by any authentic association and it was just a rumour. However, Gandhi shared malicious content on social media to defame the government, he said. We want the matter to be legally resolved as it was an attempt to malign the Government’s image, he said.

The complaint also includes names of former state president Arun Yadav, Shobha Oja, Jairam Ramesh and the person Gyarnendra with whose name letter was shared added the district president. BJP State President V D Sharma also lashed out at the Congress leaders on the issue. Sharma said that Congress tried to spread lie through a fake letter. The congress leaders used the letter which was not written by any authentic body to defame the Government. He said it was like a ‘Vyuh Rachna’ where the Congress leaders shared the letter with no ground. He targeted the former Chief Ministers Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh saying that they not only spread lie in the State but also made their national leaders spread a lie. He took a dig at these two Congress leaders saying that ‘Mr Bantadhar’ and ‘Mr Corruptnath’ should not try to mislead the voters who will are ready to give them befitting reply. He also said that Priyanka’s social media messages are not only against the party but they fall in purview of cyber crime for which we will seek action.
