A number of patriots participating in the Akhand Bharat Sankalp Tiranga Tairaki Yatra in the swelling river Narmada, on Monday.

On the eve of 77th Independence Day, hundreds of patriots from across the city came together for the ‘Akhand Bharat Sankalp Tiranga Tairaki Yatra’ in the swelling river Narmada, on Monday.
Brigadier S S Bakshi inaugurated the expedition by unfurling the national tricolour at Jilharighat. Swimmers of all ages, including women and children, proudly held the tricolor in their hands as they swam to Tilwaraghat. The journey was marked by spirited chants of ‘Jai Hind’ and a resounding call for a united and strong India.
During the expedition, patriotic songs were presented by the melodious voice of Shyam Band.
The co-ordinators of the expedition, Sanjay Yadav and founder Vivek Yadav shared that this marks the 15th year of this remarkable journey. Those participated in Yatra were Ashok Grover, Deepak Asrani, Banti Shivhare, Charanjit Singh, Mahesh Chauhan, Rajiv Dixit, Rajesh Dhaneshwar, Shiva Kashyap, Shiva Vishwakarma, Rajiv Gandhi, Rajesh Dubey, Prakash Chouksey, Narayan Barman, Gyaneshwar Awasthi, Rajkumar Yadav, Munna Chourasia, Devika Yadav, Kalu Jain, Kosala Yadav, Shubha Abhishek, Khare Abhyuday, Ekta Shweta Yadav and others.
