ARUN Kumar G emerged champion of the classical event of the Nagpur District Chess Association organised tournament heled at NDCA hall, DNC Sports Complex, Congress Nagar. Arun Kumar collected 6.5 points to clinch the title. Shaunak Badole finished second with six points while Amey Shrivastava claimed the third spot. In all 64 players including 24 ELO rated players of various ages participated in the tournament. Total seven rounds were played. Total cash prizes of Rs. 10,000 were distributed among top 10 players along with the best veteran and best female players of the tournament. The prizes were distributed at the hands of KK Barat, Secretary, Nagpur District Chess Association. Shrikant Bagde, SNA was the Chief Arbiter and was assisted by Deepak Patrikar.
