 SANA KHAN MURDER CASE

In another twist to the murder case of Sana Khan, the investigators have found a woman’s body resembling Sana in a well located approximately 300 kilometers from Jabalpur. The body bears a resemblance to Sana Khan, raising questions about the accuracy of the information provided by the prime accused, Amit Pappu Sahu, and his accomplice Ramesh Singh who had stated that after murdering the 34-year-old functionary of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Minority Cell from Awasthi Nagar, they had tossed the body in the river. The police are waiting for the confirmation through the DNA sample match of the body with Sana’s mother. Sana Khan went missing on August 2 after a confrontation with her partner-turned-foe, Pappu Sahu, a resident of Jabalpur.

The relationship between the two had reportedly soured, with Pappu suspecting Sana’s fidelity. The situation escalated on August 1 during a video call between Sana and Amit. Following the altercation, Sana traveled to Jabalpur on August 2 and entered Pappu’s residence, where a violent confrontation ensued resulting in her murder. Pappu Sahu and Ramesh Singh, who were subsequently apprehended by the police, confessed to have murdered Sana Khan. They claimed to have disposed of her body by throwing it into the Hiran river, which they believed would eventually flow into the Narmada river. A massive search operation involving the State Disaster Relief Force (SDRF) was launched in both rivers based on Pappu’s statement to police. “If the body is identified as Sana Khan’s, it raises concerns that Pappu Sahu deliberately misled the investigators by providing false information about disposing of the body in the river. Our team is dedicated to uncovering the truth behind this case,” stated DCP Rahul Madne.

DCP Madne stated that the well was several kilometers away from the river. “We are suspecting involvement of more persons in the brutal murder case,” he said. The DNA samples of the body would be preserved for further investigation, he added. However, the recent discovery of a woman’s body in a well situated in the Harda district has added another twist to the case. The body, resembling that of Sana Khan was found with threads tied to the head and leg, a similarity to Khan’s features. The police, led by DCP Zone III Rahul Madne, are now trying to confirm the identity of the deceased. A police official said that recovery of a dead body is a vital ingredient of a murder case as without the recovery of the actual body, confirming murder charges remain uncertain.
