Deepak Baij, State Congress President highlighting the achievements of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s Government in Chhattisgarh said that over the past five years, the Congress-led Government has deposited approximately Rs 1.75 lakh crore into the accounts of farmers, women, labourers,
and tribals.
Baij emphasised that the Congress Government’s unwavering dedication to welfare schemes has been pivotal in fostering trust among the public. Riding on this wave of public faith, the administration
aims to surpass the 75-seat target in the upcoming assembly elections.
The yearning for a Congress victory in the forthcoming elections is widespread among the state’s citizens. The Government has outlined a comprehensive plan to empower farmers, youth, laborers, women, and tribals, thus promoting self-sufficiency.
The implementation of these welfare schemes has been executed with precision, making a tangible impact on the ground.
A standout achievement is the significant support provided to farmers through the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, ensuring they receive the highest crop prices in the country. The State Government is offering input subsidies ranging from Rs 9,000 to Rs 10,000, providing a much-needed boost to agricultural sustainability. Youth empowerment has also been a priority,
with an unemployment allowance of Rs 2,500 being extended to them.
Additionally, the Government’s proactive measures have translated into substantial benefits for citizens.
The implementation of the electricity bill reduction scheme, which halved bills for 44 lakh citizens, has eased the financial burden on households. An astounding Rs 4,000 crore in electricity bills were waived off under this initiative.
Inclusive progress has been a hallmark of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s administration. The Government has devoted significant efforts to education, employment, health, and legal rights for the tribal community.
