City BJP President Prabhat Sahu highlighted significant strides made by BJP-led Government in Madhya Pradesh over the past two decades. While addressing a press conference on Thursday, Sahu emphasised that State has transformed from being underdeveloped to a leading example of progress and prosperity. He challenged Kamal Nath, former Chief Minister to explain his Government’s accomplishments during their 53 year rule. He questioned why injustice was meted out to people of the State during that time. Sahu stated that the BJP has worked actively over 20 years to uplift the living standards of the underprivileged. He said the party has presented a report card to demonstrate positive changes they have brought. He dared the Congress to provide their 53-year record if they have the courage to do so.
He said the BJP has introduced a new tradition of accountability, wherein its Government is held responsible for the actions taken during their tenure.
He stressed the importance of answering the concerns raised by their ‘Report Card’ and called on the Congress, which has been making misleading allegations, to respond to this initiative. Sahu also highlighted the 15-month tenure of Kamal Nath’s Government, during which they allegedly halted all the welfare programmes initiated by the BJP Government, effectively impacting lives of Sahariya, Bhariya and Baiga communities. He criticised Kamal Nath for signing suspicious documents just 15 minutes before his resignation, leaving behind a trail of doubts. Sahu said Madhya Pradesh is ready to become a leading State in the Amritkal (golden era) of India. He said the ensuing elections are crucial for shaping a developed and progressive state, liberating it from the clutches of poverty.
Sahu expressed confidence that the blessings of State’s 9 crore citizens would be with them. He also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for steering India towards development right from the inception of his term. Sahu applauded Modi’s vision for making India the third-largest economy in the world, achieving a five trillion-dollar economy and promoting self-reliance. MP Rajya Sabha, Sumitra Valmiki, Ravindra Pachori, Shrikant Sahu, Ravi Sharma and others were also present on the occasion.
