ST JOSEPH’S Convent, Fetri claimed their maiden Subroto Mukherjee Under-14 boys crown when they defeated Delhi Public School, Lava in an exciting final. The Fetri-based school footballers rallied brilliantly after being a goal down to beat DPS 2-1 at Police Lines Takli ground on Wednesday. DPS Lava took the lead through Gaurang Teotia, who plays for Big Ben, in the 14th minute of play. Shocked by the reverse, St Joseph’s boys immediately increased their attacks and succeeded in levelling the score within two minutes. Amol Mukherjee drew parity in the 16th and Humayal Sheikh scored the winner in the 23rd minute of play to help his side qualify for the divisional meet.
