AICTE affiliation for M Tech courses in CSVTU

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has given affiliation to M Tech courses run by Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai. Recently, CSVTU has received recognition notification from the council. With this recognition, the value of CSVTU’s M Tech and other PG courses will increase in the country and the world. Along with getting PG recognition, CSVTU has also applied for AICTE recognition for UG and Diploma programmes. Online applications for admission in University Teaching Department (UTD) have started for this. In UTD, students can take admission in Diploma, B Tech (Hons) and M Tech courses. GATE score is necessary for M Tech.
 
In the absence of GATE, one will have to appear in the entrance exam conducted by CSVTU. The last date of application is August 10. Diploma in Fire Safety and Mining Engineering has been started in CSVTU UTD since last year on the demand of mining and industrial units of State. 60-60 seats have been earmarked in this course, which is for the students of State. There are also seats outside the state and sponsored quota. If the quota of students of the state remains vacant, then students from outside the state can also be given admission on these seats. The minimum fee per semester for diploma courses has been fixed. There is no age limit for admission to the course.
 
There are a total of 18 seats in each branch in six M Tech programmes conducted in CSVTU, out of which 13 seats are reserved for state students, while 5 seats are reserved for sponsored quota. Admission will be done on the basis of GATE score or entrance test conducted by the university. The application fee of Rs 500 has to be paid through UPI in the scanner provided by CSVTU. Government Pharmacy College operated in Raipur will operate it branch in UTD of CSVTU from this year. Admissions will be given through the counseling of PPHT from the Directorate of Technical Education. Preparations have been made for this in CSVTU.
