RAIPUR,
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) kick started its manifesto suggestion campaign on Thursday with a ceremonial inauguration at the BJP office in the capital’s Ekatma Parisar. To encourage public participation in shaping the election manifesto, suggestion boxes were distributed, and a WhatsApp number and email address were provided for direct suggestions from residents. State In-charge Om Mathur highlighted the party’s innovative approach of incorporating public sentiments for governance through direct public participation. He emphasised that the BJP has been following this practice since 2003 in its manifesto compositions. The manifesto committee, led by Vijay Baghel, will ensure that the manifesto aligns with the sentiments and aspirations of the people of Chhattisgarh.

State President Arun Sao expressed his concern for the state’s welfare and attributed the formation of Chhattisgarh to the visionary leadership of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He urged the people to actively participate in shaping the BJP’s manifesto, promising that the party would work towards making Chhattisgarh a prosperous and thriving state. Vijay Baghel, called for the media’s valuable suggestions, highlighting their pivotal role as the fourth pillar of democracy. He also underscored the BJP’s commitment to the welfare of farmers, pointing out the various pro-farmer initiatives undertaken during their rule. The Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh Vidhansabha, Narayan Chandel, stressed the significance of the manifesto as a document of the party’s resolutions and outlook. He assured that the party would incorporate the suggestions received from the public into the manifesto and diligently work towards fulfilling those promises once in power.

The newly appointed National Vice President, Lata Usendi, expressed the party’s dedication to taking Chhattisgarh forward on the path of development, incorporating the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of the state’s residents into the manifesto. The campaign will involve BJP workers going door-to-door at every assembly level village with suggestion boxes, reaching out to all sections of society, including social, religious, business, and sports organisations. The manifesto committee will collate these suggestions to draft a comprehensive manifesto for the upcoming elections. Prominent BJP leaders, including state co-incharge Nitin Naveen, former state president Vikram Usendi, and other state office-bearers, were present at the launch of the manifesto suggestion campaign. The event was conducted by State General Secretary Vijay Sharma, and the vote of thanks was proposed by former MP Ramvichar Netam.
