PENSIONERS of State have expressed dissatisfaction over the administration’s order issued to give 5 per cent Dearness Allowance to pensioners from July 23. Opposing the order, pensioners have decided to stage a massive protest in front of the Mantralaya at Nava Raipur on August 10. President of Chhattisgarh Rajya Sanyukt Pensioners Federation Virendra Nandev said that in another order, the administration has stated of paying 4 per cent dearness allowance only to the employees and the pensioners have been left out again.

The Madhya Pradesh government has been seeking consent for giving dearness allowance to the pensioners for six months citing Section 49, but the indifference of the Chhattisgarh government is depriving benefits to 6 lakh pensioners of both the states.
