Prime Minister, Narendra Modi virtually inaugurated the renovation and development works of 34 railway stations in Madhya Pradesh, which is part of an initiative ‘Amrit Bharat Station Scheme’ where 508 railway stations across the country will get a new look. In the State, stations will be developed with the budget of Rs 1,000 crores. On the historic occasion of inaugurating Amrit Bharat Station Yojana was virtually attended by Governor of Madhya Pradesh, Mangu Bhai Patel, Chief Minister, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Cabinet Ministers, other public representatives, freedom fighters, Padam Ward recipients, West Central Railway, General Manager, Sudhir Kumar Gupta, Additional GM, RS Saxena and a large numbers of residents and students at Sant Hirdaram Nagar Railway Station, Bairagarh.
 
Similarly, senior public representatives, railway officers and residents witnessed the virtual inaugural ceremony in a programme organized at Sihora railway station. Addressing the programme, Member of Parliament and Chief Whip of BJP in Lok Sabha, Rakesh Singh expressed his gratitude towards Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Rail Minister, Ashwini Vaishnaw for overall development of railway sector through Amrit Bharat Station Yojana and termed the scheme as starting of golden era of Indian Railways. He informed that the scheme will ensure overall development of railway stations and providing world class amenities to the passengers. The scheme is the result of visionary approach and foresightedness of PM, Narendra Modi.
 
MP, Singh added that in the series of development of 34 Amrit Bharat Stations in Madhya Pradesh, Sihora railway station will be developed with the budget of Rs 19 crores. It may be noted that total 11 railway stations in Jabalpur division will be developed and renovated with the budget of Rs 218 crores under the scheme include include Katni Junction (Rs 30 crore), Katni Mudwara (Rs 22 crore), Katni South (Rs 20.6 crore), Damoh Rs 25 crore), Gadarwara (Rs 23 crore), Shridham (21.5 crore), Maihar (Rs 21.4 crore), Kareli (Rs 20 crore), Sihora Road (Rs 19 crore), Rewa (Rs 17.5 crore) and Sagar (Rs 17.5 crore). During the programme, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Sumitra Valkim, Additional DRM Jabalpur, Anand Kumar, Senior DCM, Vishwa Ranjan and other officials and a large number of residents were present.
