Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel attended the state-level convention of the State Junior Administrative Services Association organised in the State Capital on Sunday. The event was held with a focus on the revenue department’s contribution to agriculture and farmers’ development. Addressing the programme, the Chief Minister announced that Nayab Tehsildar would be given the status of gazetted officer. He also released a souvenir titled ‘Bhuiyan Ke Mitan’ in the programme. Addressing the issue of promotion as demanded by the Junior Administrative Services Association, the Chief Minister guaranteed to provide timely promotions to eligible officers. Praising the efforts of junior administrative service officers and employees, the Chief Minister highlighted their diverse responsibilities in contributing to the administration. He acknowledged Chhattisgarh’s commendable work during the COVID-19 disaster, earning widespread recognition across the country for the revenue officers’ significant role in assisting the people.
 
Praising the Junior Administrative Services officers and employees, the Chief Minister shared the remarkable achievement of the state government in allocating 1.5 lakh acres of land for Gothans across the state without any complaints. He commended the officer’s and employees’ dedication, which enabled the issuance of caste certificates, nomination certificates, and partition certificates to residents in the remote Sukma district and delivered these certificates to their homes.
 
Revenue Minister Jaisingh Agrawal shared that the Chief Minister fulfilled the demand for new tehsils and subdivisions as requested by local residents. The establishment of new districts aims to enhance the public’s convenience and improve the state government’s accessibility to the people. Addressing the people present at the event, Advisor to Chief Minister Pradeep Sharma emphasised the unique significance of the Tehsildar post, recognised by the same name not only in India, but also in neighbouring countries. He stressed the immense responsibility associated with the position and urged the people present to fulfil the responsibilities diligently and effectively. State President of the Junior Administrative Service Association Krishna Kumar Lahare, Secretary Vikrant Singh Rathore, Spokesperson Shashibhushan Soni, Tehsildars and Nayab Tehsildars from all over State were present.
