Former Cabinet Minister Prem Prakash Pandey is continuing his dharna demanding justice for Malkit Singh who was killed in Bhilai. Pandey along with the victim’s family members, Sikh Panchayat members, and party workers, continued their ‘dharna’ at Khursipar Police station premises, demanding justice for the victim’s family. The protest gained further momentum as BJP leaders including Arun Sao, President of Chhattisgarh BJP, and Vijay Baghel, MP, Durg, joined in solidarity on Sunday. proper compensation. Tulsi Sahu, former President of the District Congress Committee, denounced the crime and assured the public that all necessary measures are being taken to ensure full justice in the matter. The police are also committed to putting in all efforts to ensure strict legal action against the culprits. Sahu criticised the BJP for allegedly politicising the matter and trying to give the incident a communal colour and making false allegations for political gain. The incident in question occurred on Friday evening when the victim, Malkit Singh (34), along with his friend Om Kumar, was at the ITI ground in Khursipar, Bhilai. They reportedly had a heated exchange with the accused Tarun Nishad, Shubham Lahre, Tasavvur Khan, and Faizal Qureshi over a trivial matter, leading to a severe assault on Malkit Singh. Despite being hospitalised and referred to a multispecialty hospital, Malkit Singh succumbed to his injuries, which were believed to be severe internal vital damage. The police have already apprehended five individuals, including a minor, allegedly involved in the brutal killing. The autopsy report for the case is pending. Meanwhile, Bharatiya Janata Party State President, MP Arun Sao said that killing of unarmed man depicts the utter lawlessness that prevails in the State. Expressing his condolences on this incident, Arun Sao said that 32-year-old youth Malkit Singh was murdered mercilessly and brutally.
 
The facts that have come to light revealed that this incident took place when slogans like Hindustan Zindabad, and Pakistan Murdabad were raised. The victim’s family should get justice, action should be taken against the culprits. Sao demanded the strictest action against the culprits. Of all the culprits, eyewitnesses have told the police administration the names of eight people. Action should be taken against all of them. He said that this was not a normal and spontaneous incident. People said that after the murder of the young man, the culprits danced over his body. This incident shows the Talibani thinking and mentality of these criminals. There is a need to crush such thinking and mentality. Arun Sao said that the Bharatiya Janata Party is with the family of deceased youth in the fight for justice. We will provide all possible help to Malkit Singh’s family to get justice. The government should give a compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the victim’s family. He also has small children, how will they be looked after? Therefore, a job should be given to a family member.
