Durg,
The ‘Parivartan Yatra’ of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday reached Durg (Urban) assembly constituency and it was accorded warm welcome in different places. Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Raghubar Das along with other BJP leaders including MP Vijay Baghel also participated in the public meeting held at Hockey Ground in front of Satrupa Sheetala Temple at Durg. The BJP leaders in their address urged the people to uproot the sitting Congress government in State. Chief guest Raghubar Das launched a scathing attack on the ruling Baghel led Congress government in the State and said that the harassment of women has been increased in Congress ruled states.
He also took a dig at Priyanka Gandhi’s Bhilai visit and said that a woman leader who has arrived from Delhi has failed in uttering even a single word on the increased harassment of women. “BJP is not doing politics for changing the government but rather we are trying to save Chhattisgarh,” stated Das. He launched a tirade against the Congress and stated that youths are under the grip of drugs and Mahadev App has made them gamblers so why don’t congress leaders coming from Delhi speak on that, questioned Das. He also said that Chhattisgarh was earlier known for simplicity of people residing here but now the State is known for mafia, syndicate, commission, rapes etc and the development here has stopped for the last five years.
Meanwhile MP Vijay Baghel said that despite the fact that the programme got delayed, he was happy to see the large crowd. He said that NDA has gifted women reservation bill and said that youths are committed to uproot the congress government. At the outset, the guests were welcomed by office-bearers of the BJP. Before the public meeting, the ‘Parivartan Yatra’ was welcomed in different areas of Durg city as it passed through Science College, Malviya Nagar, Sindhi Colony, Rajendra Park Chowk, Patel Chowk etc. BJP leaders and office bearers were present on the stage.
