Vehicle Factory Jabalpur (VFJ) endeavours to start production of futuristic vehicles to register its strong presence in the global market. Research and development works are in full-swing to develop non-conventional fuel operated vehicles to fulfil the commitments of Government of India under COP26. Besides, VFJ is eyeing to export its state-of-the-art Mine Protected Vehicle (MPV) which is in high demand in the international market. One of the strong arms of Armoured Vehicles Nigam Ltd (AVNL), VFJ has been given open hands to escalate towards the commercial production with innovative products and services in the corporate sector.
“VFJ are giving thrust on research and development towards developing futuristic vehicles by evolving new technologies to manufacture all terrain vehicles and high-end Electronic and Hydrogen operated commercial vehicles. The IITs and other Government Organisations have been collaborated for materialising the futuristic plans,” said Sanjeev Kumar Bhola (IOFS), Chief General Manager, VFJ.
CGM, S K Bhola, while talking to ‘The Hitavada’, informed that they are successfully fulfilling the vehicular requirements of the Indian Armed Forces. Apart from production of conventional products, they have a big infrastructure, technology and unmatchable technical workforce to escalate towards global market with new technologically upgraded products. Bhola added that the load of conventional products has been reduced and they need to develop latest and advanced products. VFJ has all necessary resources but dearth of workload is underutilising its infrastructure and workforce.
