PRASAD Khedkar and Reshal Bhati from Nagpur completed Ironman 70.3 Salalah, Oman (half ironman distance race, 2 km swim - 90 km cycle - 21.1 km run) ) successfully. Prasad is a regular marathon runner and cyclist and he trained himself to successfully finish this triathlon race in six hours 35 minutes.

According to Dr Amit Samarth, Ultra Cyclist, Prasad, 38-year-old-businessman and an entrepreneur, is a very strong runner and cyclist which helped him to a strong finish at Salalah. The 19-year-old Reshal Bhati, daughter of Divya and Manish Bhati, studying at Government Engineering College, became the youngest girl from Nagpur to finish Ironman 70.3 successfully.

She finished second in age group 18 to 24 years and qualified for Ironman 70.3 World Championship. Her total finish time was seven hours 44 minutes. She is the first person from Nagpur to have qualified for Ironman 70.3 World Championship in New Zealand. Reshal’s feat will inspire girls and women to take up triathlon as a sport, feels Dr Samarth. Reshal and Prasad train at Miles N Milers Endurance Sports Academy headed by Dr Samarth.
