Chhattisgarh Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, has decided to procure paddy and maize on support price from November 1 in the Kharif marketing year 2023-24. Talking to mediapersons at his official residence in State Capital after the cabinet meeting, Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar said that the policy for procurement and custom milling of paddy and maize at support price in the Kharif marketing year 2023-24 was decided in the cabinet meeting on Tuesday. Paddy and maize will be procured as per the support price declared by the Government of India. Kharif paddy will be purchased from farmers in cash and linking at support price from November 1, 2023 to January 31, 2024. Similarly, Kharif maize will be procured from November 1, 2023 to February 28, 2024.
As per the announcement of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the purchase of paddy from farmers will be maximum 20 quintals per acre and maize 10 quintals per acre, he added. The Cabinet decided to extend the validity of the government guarantee (amount of Rs 14,700 crore) to Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Marketing Federation Limited for paddy procurement by one year till October 31, 2024 for the Kharif marketing year 2023-24. The Cabinet has given its nod to supply Fortified Rice Kernel (FRK) for the fortification of the resulting rice obtained from custom milling of paddy procured in the Kharif marketing year 2023-24 through Indian National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd (NAFED). The Cabinet approved the decision of the Chief Minister to provide 15 per cent discount to journalists on purchasing houses in Urban Development Scheme No 4 Kaushalya Mata Vihar. In the first stage estimate, 309 journalists will get benefitted. Rs 6,37,20,450 has been approved to Raipur Development Authority, said Akbar. The Cabinet decided to cancel the previous approved 8 layouts of New Swagat Vihar project. Considering New Swagat Vihar Colony as an unauthorized colony, action for regularization should be taken. In Kaushalya Mata Vihar Nagar Vikas Yojana, it was decided to de-notify some lands of the builders to separate them from the scheme so that plots can be provided to the affected people, said the Forest Minister. The regularization of the unauthorized colony located in Dunda, Sejbahar and Boriyakala villages in Raipur district will be done by Raipur Municipal Corporation and Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue), he added.
The Cabinet has decided to allot lands to traders at Rs 540 per square foot instead of Rs 945 per square foot in the proposed wholesale commercial market in Nava Raipur Atal Nagar. Due to this, the total amount of loss caused to Nava Raipur Authority of Rs 117.86 crore will be reimbursed by the State government. Approval was given to relax the minimum qualifying service of 5 years by 4 months for promotion from the post of Scientific Officer (Physics Gazetted, Second Class) to Senior Scientific Officer (Physics Gazetted First Class) under State Forensic Science Laboratory, Raipur. The Cabinet approved the proposal for creation of three new posts of Additional Director in Department of Public Relations, Government of Chhattisgarh. It was decided to allot the land of Rajgami Estate Rajnandgaon for Widener Memorial School. The Cabinet decided to allot government land on concession rate to Ratneshwar Kurmi Kshatriya Seva Sansthan Ratanpur, Chhattisgarh Halba Tribal Society, Bhilai-Durg, Gond community district-Surguja, Rajwar Samaj Surajpur, Dilliwar Kurmi Kshatriya Samaj Rajnandgaon, Tehsil Sahu Sangh Churia, Rajnandgaon for the construction of community building, Hardiya Sahu Samaj Raipur and Sahu Samaj Durg. In the cabinet meeting, tt was decided to provide land ownership rights to the occupants of Manendragarh urban area before 1959.
The draft of amendment in Revenue Book Circular Volume 6 Number 4 was approved. The Cabinet decided to provide relaxation in the prescribed criteria for making Gram Panchayat Ghumka of Rajnandgaon district as a Nagar Panchayat and Gram Panchayat Portha of Sakti district as a Nagar Panchayat. The Cabinet decided to appoint Sudeep Thakur as Director of Chhattisgarh State Hindi Granth Academy on contractual basis. It was decided to provide 100 percent grant to Shri Rameshwar Gahira Guru Prachya Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Shri Kot in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district under the provision of Chhattisgarh NonGovernment Colleges and Institutions (Establishment and Regulation) Act 2006, Akbar added.
