Just two months ahead of upcoming Assembly elections in State, Chhattisgarh Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel at his official residence in State Capital on Saturday evening, decided to approve houses to all remaining 6,99,439 eligible families under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural). Talking to mediapersons at his official residence here after the cabinet meeting, Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar said that the Cabinet today decided to provide pucca houses to 6,99,439 eligible remaining houseless and the families living in raw houses in the permanent waiting list under PMAY (Rural). CM had announced the Gramin Awas Nyay Yojana in the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly in order to provide houses from State Government’s own funds to such families who were deprived of being included in the survey list of the Socio-Economic and Caste Census year 2011. A decision was taken in the cabinet meeting regarding policy formulation and implementation of this scheme, he added.
 
CM had announced in the Rajiv Yuva Mitan Sammelan in Nava Raipur to end the provisions of 70, 80 and 90 per cent stipend of the minimum of the pay scale respectively in the first 3 years of the probation period of three years on the posts of direct recruitment in the interest of government officials-employees. The Cabinet approved this decision. It was decided to put on hold the recovery of 3rd and 4th annual salary increment given to diploma holder and degree holder staff nurses till further orders. In compliance of CM’s announcement, a major decision was taken in the interest of the youth preparing for state service exams. The Cabinet approved the amendment in the State Service Examination Rules, 2008. In which, after the release of the final selection list related to the State Service Examination by the State Public Service Commission, the mark lists of preliminary examination, main examination and final selection result will be made available in the online account of the candidates. Along with the result of the State Service (Preliminary) Examination, the advertised class and sub-class wise cut-off marks of the said examination will be issued. The interview or personality test will now be of 100 marks instead of 150 marks in the State Service Exams, said Abkar. Under the Godhan Nyay Yojana, it was decided to provide incentive (bonus) amount on the sale of compost to self-help groups and primary cooperative societies associated with Gothans. A total incentive (bonus) of Rs 12.32 crore will be given to self-help groups at the rate of Re 1 per kg incentive on the sale of compost from July 8, 2022 to July 7, 2023,. A total bonus of Rs 13.55 lakh will be given to primary cooperative societies at the rate of 10 paise per kg. The Cabinet also decided to create the post of Chief Engineer for State Dam Safety Organisation under the provision of the Dam Safety Act, 2021.
 
It was decided to waive off the fixed interest or land rent and allot the government land allotted to Bharat Scout Guide District Sangh Raipur for the establishment of a training centre free of cost in Maath village of Raipur district. In the cabinet meeting, it was decided to provide exemption in the fixed interest amount of government land allotted to Chhattisgarh Nishad Kevat Samaj in Phundhar village of Raipur district for hostel and social building. The Cabinet decided to allot the land owned by Suryamukhi Devi Rajgami Sampada Samiti, Rajnandgaon for the construction of Sanskar Study School, Hospital and Cowshed for the welfare of tribal and backward class in State. It was decided to provide exemption in the fixed interest amount of Nazul land allotted to the institution Prajapita Brahma Kumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, Ambikapur in Surguja district on the settlement of encroached government land. The amendment draft was approved in the explanation of part-one of the second schedule of the Chhattisgarh Motor Vehicle Taxation Act, 1991.
 
Under the Chhattisgarh Pay Revision Rules, 2017, it was decided to increase the coefficient from 2.57 to 2.67 for determining cells in the corresponding level 15 in the pay matrix of grade pay 8700. It was decided to revise the eligibility of the plots developed in Serikhedi Raipur, a special housing scheme for the officers and employees of the ministerial service in Serikhedi. Officer-employees of the judicial service category and others have been included in the eligibility list for the benefits of the scheme. The proposal to amend the system of supply of domestic/foreign liquor in sealed bottles for the remaining period of the year 2023-24 was approved. It has been decided to provide exemption in the prescribed criteria in connection with the announcement made by the Chief Minister for the formation of Nagar Panchayat Kosir, Nagar Panchayat Jarhagaon and upgradation of Nagar Panchayat Mana-Camp to municipality. An important decision of giving exemption in property tax to the industrial units established in the industrial areas developed by the Industries Department in the civic body area was taken in the cabinet meeting, Forest Minister Akbar added.
