RAIPUR,

Union Home and Co-operation Minister Amit Shah intensified the political battle for the state Assembly election by launching Chhattisgarh Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) ‘Aarop Patra’ on Saturday. Amit Shah attacked Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on corruption, conversions, and crimes against women, saying the very name of Chief Minister has ‘Pay’ in it, which means nothing can happen without paying to ‘Bhu Pay Esh.’ Comparing Congress Government to poison, Amit Shah berated the Congress party for running a government of corruption, atrocities, and the government of unfulfilled promises. The ‘Aarop Patra’ has been launched to spread public awakening against the Congress Government. During Dr Raman Singh’s Government, there was an uninterrupted journey of progress. Since 2014, when Narendra Modi became Prime Minister, a lot of efforts have been made for the state's progress, but after 2018, when the Congress Government was formed, they started looting.

It paralysed the state’s progress. Chhattisgarh's citizens gave 10 Lok Sabha seats in 2014, 9 seats in 2019, and he said that he is assured that it will be 11 seats in 2024. But first, the BJP government will form in State with a full majority. Congress Government has led Chhattisgarh astray from the path of development. Citizens have to restore development. The Prime Minister sent an extra 5 kg of rice per person, but Bhupesh Baghel snatched it. The BJP Government did skill development and the Bhupesh Government sent youths to Dubai to learn betting on the pretext of skill development. BJP provided employment under MNREGA for 300 days a year and gave maternity leave to women, gave 50 per cent reservation to women in Panchayat elections and civic body elections. Congress did a scam in a free laptop scheme. Chhattisgarh became a hub of education, power, cement, steel, and aluminium. Universities opened in Surguja, Bastar, and Dantewada and turned into education hubs. Increased medical colleges from 2 to 10, MBBS seats increased from 100 to 1100, engineering colleges increased from 14 to 50, ITI from 61 to 176, Dental college from 1 to 5, and Management school from 3 to 18. Many more works like irrigation, electricity, and other infrastructure were done by BJP. Shah said he asked Bhupesh Baghel what he got from the Manmohan Singh/Sonia Government. In 10 years, Chhattisgarh received Rs 77800 crore.

The BJP Government gave Rs 302429 crores to Chhattisgarh. 12 bank branches opened in tribal regions, 500 post offices, 2300 mobile towers installed, 2000 km of new roads, 33 national highway projects started for Rs 9941 crores. Railways extended from 1744 km to 2500 km, 42 Eklavya model schools, AIIMS Raipur, 500 MW renewable energy, and two tribes India showrooms opened by the Modi Government. The Union Home Minister dared Bhupesh Government to compare his achievement to the BJP Government's. The Modi Government gave Kisan Samman Nidhi to 30 lakh beneficiaries. Within 2 years, BJP will give tap water to every home in Chhattisgarh. 2 crore beneficiaries got Ayushman cards. 38 lakh families got toilets, 5 lakh Ujjwala Yojana connection, Rs 13000 crores spent on 11 lakh houses for poor, and started the premier institute of IIT. Bhupesh Baghel changed the definition of Collector by making the Collector collect tainted money. Baghel Government is patronizing conversions, which threatens the culture of tribes. Instead of liquor prohibition, Baghel provided liquor delivered to homes. Congress aides stole jobs from youths in PSC/VYAPAM scams, Rs 2000 crore liquor and coal scams, Rs 4000 crore scams in the forest department, Rs 1300 crores in Gauthan and cow dung procurement, and many others. No matter how sweet the poison gets, you should never taste it, said Amit Shah in his parting shot.
