Congress’ Jan Aakrosh Yatra reached Jabalpur, on Friday. The Yatra commenced with a grand rally from Bada Patthar, Rannji at 11 am. Rajya Sabha MP Vivek Krishna Tankha, former Leader of Opposition in State Assembly, Ajay Singh Rahul, Mayor Jagat Bahadur Singh, MLA Tarun Bhanot and Vinay Saxena led the rally. The Yatra after passing through Mastana Chowk, Gokalpur, Panehara Ram Mandir, Kanchghar Ghamapur Mandi, Madar Tekri Abdul Hamid Chowk, Gohalpur Milaniganj Kamaniya Gate Shyam Talkies, Shastri Bridge, Shankaracharya Chowk, Rampur, Polipathar, concluded with Mahaarti and Bhandara in Gwarighat. During the Yatra, Congress leaders said the party is raising the voice of distressed citizens of Madhya Pradesh, educated unemployed people, families affected by rising inflation, atrocities against women and innocent children and the plight of farmers troubled by electricity issues, through the Jan Aakrosh Yatra.
 
They said the public is frustrated and troubled by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and now the people desire change.
The 18-year BJP government has only caused suffering to the people of the state. They said following the direction of Madhya Pradesh Congress Committee, Jan Aakrosh Yatra is being conducted in all 230 Assembly constituencies. Former leader of opposition in Legislative Assembly, Ajay Singh Rahul led the inaugural Jan Aakrosh Yatra from Rewa, which entered the city, on Friday. They said the Yatra began on September 19 and has covered a journey of 11,500 kilometers, which has garnered immense public support for the Congress party.
