The Jan Ashirwad Yatra of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) kick started from Chitrakoot in the presence of National BJP President JP Nadda, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and other senior leaders of the party. This Jan Ashirwad Yatra is first among the five Jan Ashirwad Yatra which aims to cover all 230 assembly seats of the State. With the target to reach to maximum voters and entire BJP leadership would be on field for the next 17 days to approach voters and seek their support. BJP is seeking votes on the issue of development and welfare of poors done in State under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and in the Centre under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
 
These Jan Ashirwad Yatras would be taken out from five divisions and covering all Assembly seats will culminate at Bhopal on September 25 with grand party workers’ meet. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the closing meet of Jan Ashirwad Yatra. Prior to it, National BJP President J P Nadda arrived at Chitrakoot from helicopter accompanied by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. At helipad, both senior leaders were welcomed by Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, Jyotiraditya Sindhiya, Minister of State Ramkhelavan Patel, State BJP President and MP V D Sharma, MP Ganesh Singh, Collector Anurag Verma, DIG Mithilesh Shukla, SP Ashutosh Gupta, DRI National Organisation Secretry Abhay Mahajan, District BJP President Satish Sharma City Panchayat President Sadhna Patel. BJP National President J P Nadda and Chief Minister Chouhan visited Kamadgiri and offered prayers before Lord Kamtanath.
 
Chief Minister Chouhan prayed for good rainfall in State and prosperity of the State. Other senior BJP leaders also visited the temple and offered prayers. Thereafter, J P Nadda and other senior BJP leaders offered floral tributes before statue of Rashtrarishi Bharat Ratna Nanaji Deshmukh at Arogyadham at Deendayal Research Institute. Therafter, National BJP President J P Nadda, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and senior BJP leaders inaugurated the Jan Ashirwad Yatra from Michkurin village of Mangavaon block of Chitrakoot. National BJP President said that MP State is number one in many fields-in cleanliness, Smart City, Pradhan Mantri Swamitva Yojana. He urged people to support BJP. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that earlier Congress Government did not make any efforts to expand irrigation facilities in the State. Dacoity was a big problem but when BJP Government came to power then all dacoits were eliminated from this area and people are living peacefully.
