RMC Mayor discusses various issues in review meet

 

 

Raipur Municipal Corporation Mayor Aijaz Dhebar on Wednesday held a meeting of all zonal commissioners, executive engineers and smart city officials and gave necessary instructions to the officials. On the occasion, councilors Gyanesh Sharma, Raipur Smart City Limited COO Ujjwal Porwal, Commissioner Shailendra Patle, Vinod Pandey, Superintending Engineer Rajesh Sharma, AGM of Smart City, BR Agrawal were present. During the review meeting, Mayor Aijaz Dhebar directed Raipur Smart City Limited and Chhattisgarh State Electricity Power Company, issued by Raipur Smart City Limited and Chhattisgarh State Electricity Power Company to expedite the projects including the underground cabling work of various routes, including the work related to the pipeline and expressed displeasure over extremely slow speed at the site of the works.

 

Expressing displeasure about potholes and the inconveniences being caused to the citizens due to this, the concerned officials of Smart City and Electric Power Company have been asked to do on-the-spot inspection of the works of contracted contractors and continuous monitoring. By getting the work done in a quality manner expeditiously, by September 15, instructions were given to get the roads leveled and repairs should be completed on priority. Mayor Aijaz Dhebar informed all the Zone Commissioners and Executive Engineers of the Municipal Corporation to inspect the progress of works progressing in various routes by the contracted contractors of Smart City and Electric Power Company in their respective zone areas so that the work is completed within the time limit from the point of view of public interest through continuous monitoring.

 

The Mayor and the Chairman of the Public Works Department gave instructions to ensure that asphalting work is done in all the routes between September 15 and 30, 2023. The Mayor and the Chairman of the Public Works Department gave instructions to the concerned officials to take necessary steps to remove the inconvenience caused to the citizens in walking and driving due to the potholes. He reviewed the progress of various route-wise works from the officials and gave instructions to the officials to speed up the work of all the routes and get them completed within the time limit.
