Basavaraju S, 2007 batch IAS officer has been made Secretary to Chief Minister Vishni Deo Sai. He will also hold the additional charges of Secretary of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department and Urban Administration and Development Department, Government of Chhattisgarh. In this regard, Secretary of General Administration Department, Government of Chhattisgarh Dr Kamalpreet Singh has issued an order on Tuesday. With this appointment now there are two secretaries in the CMO including 2006 batch IAS officer P Dayanand. P Dayanand hails from Bihar while Basavaraju S is a native of Karnataka. Basavraju S is a Bachelor of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry (B. VSc. & A.H.). With appointment of with IAS officers in the CMO it is widely expected that the Chief Minister will be running the government efficiently as these two officers are known for their efficient administration and transparent working.
