“consecration ceremony of Lord Shri Ram is scheduled to take place in Ayodhya on January 22. The entire nation will be immersed in religious practices, reciting of the Ramayana and Sundarkand at various locations. Alongside, Deepotsav will be celebrated and all of us are encouraged to actively participate and contribute to this pious event,” said senior BJP leader Shashank Shrivastava while addressing a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party workers at party’s divisional office.
Shrivastava said from January 14 to January 21, a comprehensive cleanliness campaign will be conducted in temples across the country. The campaign aims active involvement of general public along with spiritual leaders. Likewise, on January 22, arrangements will be made for live telecast of the consecration ceremony apart from placement of Rama lamps, decorations and rangolis at every dwelling. He asked party workers to ensure needed arrangements for registration and issuance of identity cards for Rama Darshan campaign from January 25 to March 26. BJP city president Prabhat Sahu said registration for darshan will commence from January 25 and the objective of the campaign is to facilitate the visit of as many people as possible to witness Lord Shri Rama in Ayodhya. Those who were present in the meeting were Pankaj Dubey, Ratnesh Sonakar, Rajneesh Yadav along with district officials and Mandal presidents.
