New Govt college will be opened in Shahdol: CM

Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has said that a new Government college will be opened in Shahdol. There will be special efforts for the development of this area. Tribal dominated Shahdol division will progress at a rapid pace. Chief Minister Dr Yadav was addressing on the occasion of transfer of funds to the eligible families under the food subsidy scheme and the inauguration and ‘bhoomi pujan’ ceremony of other development works in Shahdol on Saturday. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has been the leader in the country in implementing the new education policy. New colleges and universities open new doors of development for the coming generation. Educational facilities will be increased in Shahdol region, so that the youth of the tribal community will become highly educated and join new jobs. Drumstick i.e. green gram is also produced in large quantities in this area. Drumstick, considered unmatched in taste and health, is sent to other states. The scheme will be implemented to give recognition to its production and to benefit the producers.

Chief Minister Dr Yadav transferred a total amount of Rs 29 crore 11 lakh through a single click under the Food Subsidy Scheme to 14 districts of Madhya Pradesh where people of Baiga, Bharia and Sahariya special backward tribes live in abundance. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also inaugurated 16 various works and performed Bhoomi Pujan in Shahdol. The cost of the inaugurated works is Rs 35 crore 94 lakh. The cost of the works for which the foundation stone was laid is Rs 15 crore 55 lakh. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that coaching arrangements for competitive examinations will also be made for students in tribal dominated development blocks of the state. Farmers’ income will increase with grain (coarse grains), health will also improve. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Modi has taken initiative for the development of the tribal class. At one time Millets (Sri Anna) were called the food of the poor, the main diet of our country has been rice, Kodo-Kudki, Jowar-Bajra. It is useful for health. Prime Minister Modi has emphasised on the use of coarse grains i.e. green grains. The prevalence of coarse grains is increasing in the country. The State Government has decided to implement Rani Durgavati Srianna Protsahan Yojana to promote the production of food grains. Under the scheme, an additional amount of Rs 10 per kg will be provided as incentive to the farmers producing grains like Kodo-Kutki, Ragi, Jwar-Bajra etc. This amount will be transferred directly to the farmers’ accounts.

Kodo-Kutki is mainly cultivated in Shahdol division. Along with increasing the income of the farmers of Kodo-Kutki, the health level of the people will improve with the use of these products. Ragi and other coarse grains, considered super foods, will be promoted in this region. Under Rani Durgavati Shri Anna Protsahan Yojana, value chain will be developed including crop production, storage, processing, marketing, procurement, brand building. This will also benefit the welfare of farmers, women, youth and the poor, which is also the priority of Prime Minister Modi. Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that recently a meeting of the Council of Ministers was held in Jabalpur, the purpose of which was to pay respect to the brave women like Rani Durgavati and Rani Avanti Bai. Indian women have presented examples of bravery in history. Lack of resources will not come in the way of sports facilities: Before this, Chief Minister Dr Yadav also inaugurated the Sports Complex in Shahdol. Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that the state-of-the-art sports complex at Pandit Shambhunath Shukla University at a cost of Rs 1 crore will serve to hone the talent of talented players. Shahdol is a forest area. The natural beauty here is unique.

Prime Minister Modi is always ready for the development of tribal areas and forest dwellers. Sports activities have been promoted through the new education policy. Many talents have emerged from the tribal community, who are achieving achievements in the field of sports. There was a time when medals were not won in any sport except wrestling in the Asian Games and Olympics. Today Indian players are getting medals in many sports. Tribal youth will be given full encouragement in sports, lack of resources will not come in the way. Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that in the flow of time, the systems of Sanatan Dharma were rejected, but Indian culture cannot be forgotten. There have been education centers like Nalanda and Takshashila in our country. Lord Shri Krishna had received education in Sandipini Ashram of Ujjain. India is progressing rapidly under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.

The characteristics for which our country is known include the simplicity and good governance of our ideal Lord Shri Ram. There will be a moment of pride for the nation on 22nd January, when the consecration is to be performed in the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Ram Temple. Tribal Affairs Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah said that a monthly amount of Rs 1500 is being given to the families of special backward tribes for nutritious food. Earlier this monthly grant amount was one thousand rupees. Training programs will be conducted at the block level for tribal people. The public greeted Chief Minister Dr Yadav’s ‘Jan Abhar’ yatra in Shahdol by showering flowers. Dr Yadav greeted the public. On both sides of the yatra route, people seemed eager to welcome him. In the program, Minister of State for Cottage and Village Industries (Independent Charge) Dilip Jaiswal, MP Himadri Singh, Chairperson of Mahila Finance Development Corporation Amita Chapra, MLA Meena Singh, Jai Singh Maravi, Sharad Kol, Manisha Singh as well as Shivnarayan, Prabha Mishra and other public representatives, officials and a large number of citizens were present.
