The Computer Engineering Department at Cummins College of Engineering for Women, Nagpur, has achieved significant success in campus placements over the past four months. More than 30 opportunities were extended, attracting participation from 21 prominent companies exclusively targeting the Computer Engineering branch. Remarkably, around 60 per cent of eligible students have secured placements, achieving an impressive average package of Rs 9.24 lakh per annum. Seventeen students have secured salaries exceeding Rs 10 lakh per annum, with the highest offered salary reaching Rs 18 lakh per annum, and the placement process is still ongoing. Companies such as Citi, Tata Technologies, Bristlecone, PepsiCo, Palo Alto, Alfa Laval, ProcDNA, Rockwell Automation, VISA, HSBC, Lowe's, BNY Mellon, AQR, and Wabtech Corporation have provided opportunities for students to participate in the selection process.
To further enhance knowledge and employability skills, the department implemented various skill development programmes. These programmes are designed to address specific industry requirements and contribute to the overall professional growth of the students. The department has entered into 10 memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with prominent companies. Under these MoUS, various activities such as seminars, guest lectures, and industrial visits have been conducted.
