Barela police have successfully apprehended the accused of killing his wife within some hours of the incident was reported, on Monday. Man killed his wife over the doubt of her illicit relation with another man by sledging her neck with sickle. The arrested has been identified as Sushil alias Narad Kushwaha (40), resident of Panagar. SHO of Barela police station, Jitendra Patkar informed that, on Monday, they received information from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College and Hospital about death of a woman. Receiving the information, police reached the hospital where a boy named Ritesh Kushwaha (24), resident of Kashi Mehgavan village informed that he is working as farmer. His sister Ranu Kushwaha married with Sushil Kushwaha alias Narad 15-years back and they always visited his house in regular intervals.

 

On January 20 evening, his sister Ranu along with brother-in-law, Sushil and children reached his house and he along with his another brother-in-law Omkar and father Ramgopal were mixing manure at open space of the house and his mother went for some work. Ranu and Sushil were working inside the kitchen when they heard screaming of his sister Ranu. They rushed inside the house and witnessed that Sushil Kushwaha sledged the neck of sister Ranu with a sickle and she was bleeding profusely. They tried to catch Sushil but he managed to escape from the spot from backside door of the house.

 

They rushed Ranu at Medical Hospital where she succumbed to her grave injury undergoing treatment at the hospital. He informed that Sushil Kushwaha killed his sister on a doubt of her illicit relation with another person. Acting on the complaint, Barela police registered a case under Section 302 of IPC and started a search for the accused. Continuing a thorough search, police team succeeded in apprehending the accused Sushil Kushwaha alias Narad at Sakshi Dhaba on highway road.
