The long-awaited moment of 500 years for the Sanatan Dharma has finally arrived. The grand temple of Lord Rama in Ayodhya has been built and consecration of Ramlala in the sanctum sanctorum performed during the auspicious Abhijit Muhurat, on Monday. Not only the nation but the entire world is witnessing the grandeur of Lord Ram in Ayodhya. Similarly, the abode of sage Jabali and the cultural capital of the State; Jabalpur is also filled with the divine presence of Lord Ram. From Gaurighat temple of Lord Rama to the Hanuman temple in Shupatal, a series of religious events took place in various small and big temples and significant locations. The streets, neighborhoods and homes in the city are also hosting programs related to the consecration of Lord Rama, resonating with chants of glory to Lord Ram. In the morning, while conch shells resounded at 21 important squares of the city, distribution of Prasad and sweets took place.
The Sundarkand and Hanuman Chalisa were recited collectively and people also took part in distribution of Ram Bhog. Special events were organized in the Sarafa Bazaar of the city. Rangolis were made, thousands of lamps were lit and hundreds of kilograms of sweets were offered. Fireworks illuminated the sky for hours. The melodious tunes of the Ramayana were sung and Ram bhajans were performed at many places. The banks of Narmada River were adorned like a bride and thousands of lamps illuminated the night. Bhandara and Langars were organized at every nook and corner of the city.
The people Sanskardhani started their day by visiting temples and commencing their prayers, which continued until late at night. All religious, social and political organizations celebrated the consecration of Lord Ram with great enthusiasm and religious fervor. The people lit lamps and illuminated their homes, celebrating the festival of lights, Deepotsa at night. The consecration of Ramlala in Ayodhya was a historic event that was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Jabalpur. The city was decorated with lights and people from all walks of life gathered to celebrate the occasion. The event was a symbol of hope and unity for people and it is sure to be remembered for generations to come.
SAMRASTA SEVA SANGATHAN:
To mark the auspicious occasion of consecration of new idol of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, Samarasta Seva Sangathan organized a grand programme at Malviya Chowk. During the event, musical rendition of Sundar Kand, accompanied by the melodious tunes of band, recitation of hymns in praise of Lord Ram and distribution of Ram Bhog was done. President, Sandeep Jain while expressing happiness said “we are all fortunate that after a wait of 500 years, Lord Shri Ram has been enshrined in his grand temple, setting a remarkable example of harmony for the entire world”. He said Shri Ram has led society forward, embracing every section and established the reign of Ram Rajya.
Jain highlighted that on the auspicious occasion of consecration, when the entire nation is immersed in the spirit of Ram, Samarasta Seva Sangathan has organized a musical event of collective recitation of the Sundar Kand in Sanskardhani. Likewise, international Shyam Band performed enchanting tunes and captivated the audience. Sangathan members also celebrated the auspicious occasion with fireworks, adding excitement to the atmosphere. Live telecast of consecration ceremony in Ayodhya was also displayed on big screens.
BLOWING OF COUNCH SHELL:
To celebrate the consecration of Lord Shri Ram, conch shells were sounded simultaneously at 12 noon at 21 important squares in West Assembly. On the occasion, State PWD Minister, Rakesh Singh along with Brahmins blew chouch shell at Shankaracharya Chowk. The live broadcast of consecration ceremony held in Ayodhya was also witnessed here and people rejoiced with happiness. At Shankaracharya Chowk, State Minister Singh sounded the conch shells along with Brahmins and residents. Just as the Ayodhya, a similar fervor of devotion to Ram was felt in Jabalpur during the consecration ceremony. Speaking on the occasion, Singh said, "I salute the kar sevaks and those who have sacrificed their lives for Lord Ram over the past 550 years.
Today is the historic and foundation day of an advanced India. The entire country is immersed in the spirit of Ram. Firework display is conducting everywhere and the whole country is adorned”. He said it is not just an idol installation, it is the awakening of India's pride. It is a symbol of India's new construction, the foundation of a progressive India. Singh said entire country is filled with the essence of Lord Ram. Such occasions are rarely witnessed in history. After the sound of conch shells, people present were also offered sweets and along with the chant of "Jai Shri Ram," fireworks were also displayed.
JAIN COMMUNITY’S RAMOTSAV:
The Jain Panchayat Sabha has celebrated the consecration of Lord Shri Ram with grandeur. Senior office bearers of the Panchayat Sabha said there are 51 Jain temples in the city. All these temples were adorned with colourful lights and a grand aarti ceremony was organized simultaneously in all Jain temples from 7 pm to 9 pm, followed by the distribution of sweets. Festival of light, Deepotsav was celebrated from Bada Phuhara to Kamania gate with thousands of lamps lit as part of the festivities. Along with that, a colorful cultural programme was also conducted at Malviya Chowk along with lighting of lamps and distribution of sweets.
CELEBRATION IN SARAFA:
On Monday evening, a grand celebration was also organized in Safara area. The area was adorned like Ayodhya. Entire area was decorated with rangoli. A total of 21,000 earthen lamps, bearing the name ‘Ram,’ were lit, adding to the festive ambiance. Apart from that 551 kilograms of special sweets were distributed as prasad. Sarafa was adorned with the saffron flag of Lord Ram and special decorations, including cutouts of Lord Ram and toran (arches), adorned the place. The spiritual tunes of the religious band resonated and a spectacular hours-long fireworks display from Uttarkashi captivated the audience. The city is experiencing a celebration like Diwali, with festivities spanning two days. Fireworks illuminate the city’s squares late into the night, accompanied by processions. Idols of Lord Ram were placed at several squares. Likewise, every street in the city is hosting a grand feast.
