Soumya Ambade and Arya Zade won gold medals in the Under-10 boys and girls age categories in the karate competition at Divisional Sports Complex in Mankapur. Soumya won the first position in the boys Under-10 32 kg weight category. Yash Umathe finsihed with a silver medal while Sion Barai and Mandavarkar claimed bronze medals. In the girls section, Arya won gold, Myra Fatema silver and Evelyn Robin and Elina Shaikh bronze medals.

 

In the below 24 weight category, Devansh Attargade won gold medal while Aradhya Kambe claimed silver and Samyak Khobragade and Soham Khotele bronze medals. In the girls’; event, Divyani Yadav bagged the gold medal, Ojas Kulsange settled for silver and Kinjal Karande and Nandini Kumar had to be content with bronze medals. Ashfaq Shaikh, Balya Thombre, Akshay Ingle, Dr Zakir Khan, Surendra Ugle, Sanjay Ingole were present during the competition.

 

Results: 10 to 12 years above 36 kg: Girls: Garvi Rangari, Anahita Kapoor, Riddhima Giri, Amishi Purohit. Under-10 years below 16 kg: Samrat Bavankar, Vishant Konge, Mahendra Madavi, Shivaay Grover. Below 10 years above 32 kg: Chaitanya Dhuve, Honey Tekam, Kayan Kadar, Arnav Patil.
