Jafar Nagar stun Mangalmurti XI

 

 

 

 

 

Nikhil Raut scored a six on the penultimate delivery to help Jafar Nagar XI stun title favourites Mangalmurti XI by four wickets in the ongoing Dr Sandeep Shinde’s Babuji Foundation and Hajiyani Zubeda Abdul Razzak Charitable Trust organised RPCL Season 8 Cricket Tournament at Mecosabagh Methodist School ground, Kadbi Chowk on Tuesday.

 

Chasing 86 from eight overs, Jafar Nagar crossed the line on the last delivery with Raut taking a single. Jafar Nagar needed 11 runs from last over bowled by Ramesh. He bowled four wides but took three wickets in that deciding over. On the fifth delivery, Raut pulled the delivery over midwicket boundary to tie the scores and then pushed one towards short midwicket to take his side home. This was after Dinesh Raikwar 21-ball 42 up the order. Shrestha Chourasia scored 25. Earlier, Mangalmurti scored 85 for seven with Rinku hitting 18-ball 41. Aman Sheikh took three wickets for Jafar Nagar.
