Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), on Thursday organised Nav Matdata Sammelan (New Voters’ Summit) on the occasion of New Voters’ Day at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College Auditorium, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the new voters through virtual medium. Similar programme were organised in all four Assembly constituencies of the city. State PWD Minister Rakesh Singh attended the event as the chief guest. Addressing the new voters, Singh said that one vote has the power to change the fate and direction of the country. He emphasized that even now, a single vote from the youth can alter the course of the nation.
Rakesh Singh further said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is progressing towards new heights, evident in the completion of the Ram Temple and the abrogation of Article 370, leading to the positive transformation in Kashmir. He urged the youth to use their vote for betterment of the nation during ensuing elections.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing the new voters virtually said that at a time when the country is working towards the goal of becoming a developed India by the year 2047, the vote of the young voters will determine the direction of India.
Speaking at ‘Namo Nav Matdata Sammelan’ organised by the youth unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party, PM Modi said just as the responsibility of achieving independence was on the shoulders of the youth 25 years before in 1947, similarly, the responsibility of building a developed India in the next 25 years, by 2047, lies with the youth.
