Governor Mangubhai Patel urged the people of the State to contribute their best towards Vikasit and Atmanirbhar Madhya Pradesh by following the Karma path in keeping with the glorious past and rich cultural traditions of India. He said that it is a matter of pride that we the people of India are continuously striving on the path of progress following the path of justice, freedom, equality, unity, integrity and fraternity as shown in the Constitution. He said that the Government endeavours for the uplift and empowerment of all sections and areas, to extend the benefits of public welfare schemes to the backmost person, to strengthen the physical infrastructure as much as possible for the holistic development of the state, to prioritise education, healthcare, skill development, investment and employment and self-employment for all, to ensure good governance at every level of Government functioning and to ensure that Madhya Pradesh leads in the country by fulfilling the guarantees given in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sankalp Patra.
 
Governor Mangubhai Patel was addressing the grand function at Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day. Minister of State for Public Health and Family Welfare Narendra Shivaji Patel, Chief Secretary Veera Rana and Director General of Police Sudhir Kumar Saxena besides public representatives, senior officials, dignitaries and a large number of citizens of Bhopal were present. Aiming to elevate State’s economy to Rs 45 lakh crore: Governor Mangubhai Patel said that in order to fulfill the Prime Minister’s resolve to make India the third largest economy in the world, the state government aims to take the State’s economy to the level of Rs 45 lakh crore. Madhya Pradesh is witnessing a massive cultural evolution. 18 more Loks are to be developed soon in the State, on the lines of Shri Mahakal Mahalok Complex. Sant Shiromani Shri Ravidas Memorial, Rani Durgavati Memorial and Shri Atal Behari Vajpayee Memorial will be established as new sources of inspiration for future generations. Establishment of City Museum in Bhopal at a cost of Rs 15 crore has been approved by the central government. Cultural forests are being created in Chitrakoot, Khajuraho, Ujjain and Bhopal of the state. The target is to establish 100 city forest areas for the promotion of environment and bio-diversity in urban areas. Swachcha street food hub ‘Prasadam’ has been launched between Neelkanth Van Parisar and Avantika Haat of Shri Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain.
 
Mannhit app launched for mental health: The Governor said that Integrated Public Health Labs of 3 districts worth more than Rs 3.5 crore have been dedicated and inauguration of labs in 13 districts has been conducted under PM Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission. 132 types of free tests are available in all the district hospitals of the state, 45 types in primary and community health centers and 15 types in sub-health centers of the state. Madhya Pradesh is the first state in the country where public health cadre has been created. In the coming year, the target is to start 22 AYUSH wings in all the district hospitals of the state. Six new medical colleges are being established in the state with the co-operation of the Government of India and nine with state budget. ‘Mannhit App’ has been launched to solve the mental health related problems of the general public. 1.29 crore Ladli Bahnas benefit from women empowerment programme: Patel said that as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s intent, during the women empowerment programme conducted from January 10 to 15, more than Rs 1,576 crore was transferred to the accounts of 1.29 crore eligible Ladli Bahnas of the state. So far 46.74 lakh girls have been benefited from the Mukhya Mantri Ladli Lakshmi Yojana. So far, more than 61 lakh women have been linked to self-help groups under the National Livelihood Mission.
 
Special backward tribe population up to 100 will be connected by road: Governor Mangubhai Patel said that under PM Jan-Man Yojana, 194 new Anganwadi centers will be established in special backward tribe dominated settlements of Madhya Pradesh at a cost of about Rs 16 crore. Similarly, boys and girls hostels will be constructed in special backward tribal areas at a cost of more than Rs 384 crore. Government of India has approved Rs 75 crore for the construction of 125 multi-purpose centers in special backward tribe areas. Through PM Jan-Man Yojana, settlements of Baiga, Sahariya and Bhariya tribes with a population up to 100 will also be connected with pucca roads. Similarly, Rs 2 lakh per beneficiary will be provided for construction of houses in special backward tribal dominated areas. This will benefit more than 1 lakh target beneficiary families in the state. More than Rs 4,900 crore will be spent on construction of roads, bridges and houses.
 
Sickle cell test of 21.74 lakh conducted: Patel said that State Hemoglobinopathy Mission has been established for the eradication of sickle cell anaemia. So far, more than 21.74 lakh people have been screened in the tribal dominated areas of the state and genetic counselling cards have been distributed to more than 10.38 lakh beneficiaries. Effective implementation of PESA rules in tribal areas has not only empowered the Panchayats and Gram Sabhas, in fact it has paved the way for the protection of the overall welfare and interests of the tribals.
Transportation facility for students of CM Rise schools: The Governor said that with the initiative of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country has a new National Education Policy. As many as 369 fully equipped CM Rise Schools have started operating in the state. Transport facility has also been started for the students of these schools in the districts of Ujjain and Narmadapuram divisions. In the near future, it will be extended to all CM Rise Schools. A roadmap is being prepared for working in the combined participation of the dairy federations of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh to facilitate milk producers and milk co-operative societies of the state. So far this year, more than 6 thousand kilometers of roads have been constructed and upgraded. More than 7 thousand kilometers of roads in the state are being reconstructed. The gross energy capacity of Madhya Pradesh has reached 29 thousand MW. Under Jal Jeevan Mission, pure tap water supply is being made to more than 60 per cent of rural families.
 
Eligible women beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and Ladli Bahna Yojana with gas connections are being provided gas refill for Rs 450. More than 19 thousand senior citizens have been taken on pilgrimage by rail and air this year, under the Mukhya Mantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana. Work is going on at a fast pace to make MP a leading state of the country: Governor Mangubhai Patel said that the State Government has started working in mission mode with a new vision to fulfill the guarantees given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the people of Madhya Pradesh in Sankalp Patra 2023 within the time limit. Shri Ram’s Pran Pratishtha becomes a spiritual ritual: Patel said that the Republic Day celebrations have doubled with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya in the presence of the Prime Minister. After years of waiting, when this auspicious occasion came on Paush Shukla Dwadashi, the whole country was elated to welcome Lord Shri Ram. Farmers, poor, women, youth should be empowered through Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra: The Governor said that Vikasit Bharat-Sankalp-Yatra is an expression of PM Shri Modi’s dream of developing India. This journey has not only been successful in providing the benefits of the schemes to every eligible person, but through it, farmers, poor, women, youth - all have become empowered. In Madhya Pradesh, this Yatra became a public fest and more than 2 crore people participated in the Yatra. More than 50 lakh citizens have been benefited through various schemes and camps during the Yatra.
 
Following the path of justice, freedom, equality, unity, integrity and fraternity a matter of pride: Paying tributes to the maker of the Indian Constitution, Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar and all the members of the Constituent Assembly, Governor Mangubhai Patel said that Dr Ambedkar made invaluable contribution in making the world’s largest democracy flourish as a fully sovereign democratic republic. Today, the nation pays obeisance to all those great men, revolutionaries, heroes, patriots and martyrs, due to whose indomitable bravery, courage, penance and sacrifice we are living in an independent India.
