Uttar Maharashtra & Gujarat (UM&G) Sub-Area will organise an Army Exhibition ‘Shaurya Sandhya 2024’ (Bhartiya Sena–Prerna Ka Prateek) at Mankapur Sports Complex from February 2 to February 4. Addressing a press conference on Monday, Major General Sanjay Kumar Vidyarthi, General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Uttar Maharashtra and Gujarat Sub-Area said that this would be the first of its kind exhibition and display by the Indian Army in Nagpur. Common citizens, students and youths will be familiarised with the equipment and tactics used by the Indian Army during its war operations. The exhibition will have on display vintage weapons to technically advanced machines and drone-based applications. The exhibition is an initiative for the common citizens to know and understand the Indian Army from close quarters.
 
‘Shaurya Sandhya 2024’ will begin with the inauguration of Static Display on February 2 at 11.30 am. Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande, PVSM AVSM VSM ADC, high ranking military officers and eminent dignitaries from Nagpur city will preside over the main function at 4.30 pm. The main attractions of the event include inaugural flag hoisting and fly past at 200 meters Above Ground Level (AGL). This will be followed by tent pegging, motorcycle display by Army Daredevil Team, Warrior and Para Motor Display, Special Forces Display that include freefall and slithering, Warrior display - Ghatka, Kalaripayattu, North East Warrior Dance and Army Dog Show. The specially trained dogs will exhibit their skills in tracking, guarding and attacking along with their capabilities of obedience, explosive detection and mine detection.
 
A melodious performance by Army Pipe Band and Army Symphony Band will also be staged on the inaugural day. For people who would like to know about opportunities with the Indian Army, there will be a help desk by Recruiting Office. The exhibition will be open for general public on February 2 from 11.30 am, on February 3 from 10 am to 4 pm and on February 4 from 10 am to 1 pm. Group Captain Ratnakar Singh and Brigadier K Anand were present during the press conference.
