He was socially active and lived his life as a philanthropist. Extending a helping hand to everyone was his disposition. After his death too, Moreshwar Meshram gave new lease of life to three, sight to two through organ donation. Adding value to his death, his wards Sumit and Vaibhav decided to donate the body of their father, so that it would help medical students in their studies. Moreshwar Meshram, a 69-year old chowkidar with a private company was known for his good work culture and active social life. His family included wife Maya (65), sons Sumit (35), Vaibhav (29) a daughter Apeksha Dongre (31). As Moreshwar was not feeling well, his family members took him to the nearby hospital. After two days of treatment at Alexis Hospital, doctors found out that he suffered brain hemmorhage. According to doctors, his condition was deteriorating. The brain dead committee at the hospital
 
Dr Aditya Atal, Dr Nilesh Agrawal, Dr Pushkaraj Gadkari and Dr Abhishek Wankar declared him brain dead. Preeti Jain, Coordinator at Alexis Hospital counseled relatives for organ donation. After relatives gave consent for the organ and body donation, the Zonal Transplant Coordination Committee (ZTCC) led by Dr Sanjay Kolte, President; Dr Rahul Saxena, Secretary and Dinesh Mandape, Transplant Coordinator swung into action. The Committee after checking the waiting list, did the distribution of the organs. After the retrieval of the organs, the body was donated to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).
 
Kidney 1 was given to a 32-year old man at Alexis hospital. A woman of 58 at Orange City Hospital received second kidney while a 59-year old woman suffering from liver ailments heaved a sigh of relief as she became the recipient of liver donated by Meshram. Pair of corneas were donated to Mahatme Eye Bank. Maintaining the donor at Alexis was handled by Dr Sanjay Kripalani, Intensivist.
