“Jabalpur will be developed as first well managed city of the Central India. 5-years roadmap will be prepared for establishment of employment oriented industrial units on the basis of available resources in state assembly constituencies and districts. District level industrial meets would be organised for state and district level industrialists”, said Chief Minister, Dr Mohan Yadav while chairing a review meeting at Hotel Kalchuri Residency, on Wednesday. Addressing the meeting, CM, Dr Mohan Yadav said that there are several sectors which have tremendous potentials of investment and employment. Along with inviting outside investors, promotion of local industrials should be carried out.
Pointing out the tribal districts of Balaghat, Mandla and Dindori, Dr Yadav said that there are electricity problem for industrialists and directed the concerned officers for making separate scheme and programme. According to the climatic conditions, animal husbandry and tourism should be promoted in these districts. He also said for giving special focus on mining and dairy promotion in these districts. During the meeting, Principal Secretary (Industry), Sanjay Shukla informed that in last 3-months, investment of Rs 9,567 crores has been carried out in Mahakaushal region in cement, textile, iron and steel, agriculture, food processing, ethanol, engineering, FMGC and building construction material while total 19,716 new employments have been generated.
He added that new projects have been developed for Mahakaushal region by the Industry Department including trunk infrastructure at 1379 acres land in Sihora with the budget of Rs 240 crores. Similarly, development works of Rs 11 crore for industrial area in Burkalkhapa village in Seoni. Extension of Umaria Dungaria Industrial area is being carried out at 60.5 acres land in Jabalpur while development of Industrial Park Narsinghpur-II and development of industrial area Tikaria in Katni is being carried out with Rs 7.72 crore. Development of Industrial Area Maneri in Mandla district is being carried out with Rs 19.56 crore while distribution pipeline is in progress with the budget of Rs 45.36 crore in Mandla. Besides this, Collector Jabalpur given a power point presentation on projected city development plan.
