Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav has said that devotees visiting Ujjain for Darshan of Mahakal will get healthy food through Prasadam. This is the country’s first healthy and hygienic food street. The idea is that people must have right eating habit and healthy food. Public health safety is the top most priority. Over 25,000 vendors have been penalised for selling food items in the open and to control the sale of non-vegetarian food items in an unhygienic manner. Good health of citizens is priority of the State Government. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the Government of India is committed to have a medical college in every Lok Sabha constituency. The state government will ensure that every district has a medical college. The schemes will be implemented while giving importance to the welfare of women, farmers and youth along with the poor sections of the society. Chief Minister Dr Yadav was addressing inauguration of Food Street Prasadam and health institutions in Ujjain on Sunday. Dr Yadav and Union Minister Mandaviya jointly inaugurated Ujjain Food Street (Prasadam). Ujjain a mythological city: Chief Minister Dr Yadav said that Ujjainis a replica of earth. The calculation of time starts from Mahakaal. Ujjain is the Greenwich of the future. When the Sun changes its orbit on 22nd December, its shadow is not visible. Therefore, an observatory was established in Ujjain in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology. Many saints and seers belong to Ujjain.Dr. Yadav said that father of Lord Shri Ram had come to Ujjain for performance of his father’s last rituals. Lord Shri Krishna got his early education. Emperor Ashoka sent his son and daughter from here to other places to spread Buddhism.Emperor Raja Bhoj, Vikramaditya, Bhartuhari belong to Ujjain. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed gratitude to Union Health Minister Dr. Mandaviya.
 
Food Streets in other cities of country - Union Minister Dr Mandaviya: Union Minister of Health, Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya said that Food Street has been launched at the sacred place. This will help visitors get healthy food. Dr Mandaviya said that the Prime Minister has made efforts to strengthen the health infrastructure through Ayushman Bharat and Health Infrastructure Mission.He said that all the needed financial resources will be provided to Madhya Pradesh for health sector initiatives. Prime Minister Modi’s vision is that citizens must be healthy in a developed India. It is for the first time human health has been liked to development processes. It is important to have hygienic food for good health. Such food streets will be started in other cities. He said that the world has witnessed leadeship of Prime Minister during the fight against Covid. Developed countries realised the capabilities of Prime Minister Modi. The Government of India is providing Rs. 100 crore to each district in the health sector.A new India is emerging. Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said that after the development of Mahakal Lok, the number of devotees has touched averatge 1.5 lakh and on Saturdays and Sundaysit goes to 4 lakh. There is no shortage of funds. The Prime Minister has launched many schemes through the National Health Mission.Ujjain Food Street is a model, in which 17 shops are providing different types of food.

With the inauguration of Ujjain Food Street, the devotees visiting Mahakal Lok will get hygenically prepared nutritious food. Avantika Haat has been developed near the smart parking in Mahakal complex.
 
Under Prasadam, street food has been made available to the devotees and tourists in 900 square feet area under Eat Right India. Aprons and gloves are being used by the employees working here. Special care has been taken of hygiene. Dustbins have also been placed at various places. Along with the facility of mobile food tasting unit, digital menu board, various cultural festivals will also be organized in Prasadam. Union Minister Dr Mandaviya and Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also inaugurated the website and brochure related to Ujjain Food Street. After the inauguration of the Food Street, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav also interacted with various service providers. MP Anil Firojia, MLA Satish Malviya, Sheri Anil Jain, Jitendra Pandya, Dr Tej Bahadur as well as Ujjain Mayor Shri Mukesh Tatwal, Municipal Corporation Chairperson Sushri Kalavati Yadav, Ujjain Development Authority Chairman Shri Shyam Bansal, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Government of India, Additional Chief Secretary Health of Madhya Pradesh Mohammad Suleman and many other public representatives were present.
